Derroon Farmhouse is a self-catering holiday cottage located in the heart of County Sligo, an area of outstanding natural beauty and a rich traditional Irish music heritage. The house enjoys a tranquil rural setting while being only a few minutes drive from the small but vibrant town of Ballymote.

There is much to do and see in the area, whatever your taste, but here is also an ideal touring base for Sligo and the surrounding counties of Mayo, Leitrim, Donegal, Galway and Roscommon. Visit Eagles Flying, Lough Gill, Strandhill, Ballymote Castle, Carrowkeel, the Caves of Keash, Hazelwood, Knocknarea, Megalithic tombs or just go for one of the lovely looped walks. Warm, comfortable and clean, the house can sleep five adults and there is also a travel cot available for baby visitors. There are three bedrooms, i.e. double, twin and single and bedlinen and towels are supplied. The double bedroom is en-suite while there is also a spacious bathroom with shower over bath.

The kitchen is well equipped and opens into a bright airy living area, which in turn leads to a large enclosed garden.

A picnic table and barbecue are supplied and there is ample private car parking space. An initial supply of fuel is made available for the open fire, while a generous welcome pack is also supplied.

For anglers there is a separate bait fridge provided in addition to a lockable shed for gear storage.

Pets are welcome at the cottage within reason.
